Whether you are disabled or an ally who isn't looking to receive or provide support through shift-based care, there is still a place for you in On the Moov.

Our vision at On the Moov is rooted in disability justice—building collective access through peer-based, community-driven support. This work is made possible by students who believe in showing up for each other and creating systems of care where institutions fall short.

On the Moov volunteers sign up for flexible shifts that align with their schedules. Each shift is different, depending on the needs and preferences of the disabled student they’re partnered with. A typical 30- to 60-minute shift might involve walking together between classes, sharing a meal, or helping the student settle into their living space afterward. Tasks completed during shifts could include things like grabbing a drink from the fridge, setting up a laptop, or opening doors and packages.

As we grow our network, we’re looking for more volunteers who are ready to co-create a more accessible and connected campus. If you're interested in joining this collective effort, click the button below and become part of the movement.
